XANTHOS HISTORY
Xanthos Antiquities was founded in Sydney at the beginning of the 90's
by Giovanni and Barbara Rabito, dealing exclusively in archaeological items.
The director Giovanni Rabito comes from a 30 years long experience in the field. In 1976,
he founded and directed LA BALAUSTRA ARCHEOLOGIA in Bologna Italy, a Gallery which specialised
in Pre Columbian and Ancient Oriental Art.
During the 80's he participated as an exhibitor at international events like LA BIENNALE DELL
'ANTIQUARIATO E DELL 'ARTE ANTICA di PALAZZO STROZZI in Florence and PALAZZO GRASSI in Venice.
The aim of the company is to promote the private collecting of objects normally intended for
Museums and historical institutions, in compliance with international regulations governing
the trade of relics of cultural importance.
